A growing family contracted Silvestro Design Operations to renovate a two-flat in Bucktown just off the Damen Avenue shopping corridor. A full gut of the interior walls and m/e/p infrastructure was necessary to create the a home that will support this family’s needs for the coming years. The first floor is open and airy with an expansive kitchen and culminates in a rear addition that embraces a built-in dining area for family meals and homework, while the second and third floors consist of comfortably sized bedrooms and a cozy family room that allows for a more private gathering space for reading, entertainment, and snuggles. The front facade took on a lovely transformation led by the design-focused clients.
