CAMBODIA INCINERATOR
During a stint volunteering on Sothy’s Pepper Farm in Kampot, Cambodia, the owner of the farm approached James to help design and build a new garbage incinerator for the farm’s refuse. The main problem with the former garbage burning process was a lack of airflow beneath the level of the garbage. James worked with the local mason to locate the proper lengths of rebar and grouted them into the cubical mass of brick. With many children on the farm, the rebar ends were hazardous so water bottle caps were grouted into place at each end of rebar.
