A 2,000 sf addition to the iconic dive bar, Maria’s.  Included in the scope of work was a small commercial kitchen, outdoor seating in the front and rear of the addition, and a large bar with communal and private booth seating.  Painted recycled materials were used extensively as part of the interior design of the project and a light and dark palette of materials created a frenetic facade that couples with the personality of the storied neighborhood establishment.

James acted as the project manager of design and construction of this project under Norsman Architects.  Completed in 2015.
